Lake Of The Woods Bombers
« on: January 16, 2013, 06:23:30 am »
Here is part of a couple of emails I got from this fellow. He sent a few pics of bombers that still work there.

South end of lake of the woods.(baudette, mn) Have 3 stretch bombers and 10 regular bombers. They range in production dates from 54 to 80. The 1980 was purchased brand new. They are all wide gauge 18s. The link on the northern tracks website that says stretch bomber is one of ours. It was the 1st one built like that. There are close to 30 bombers running around the fishing resort areas on the Minnesota side of lake of the woods. All are wide gauge 18s except for maybe 3 or 4 narrow gauges.

Here are a few of our bombers. The crusty rusty haliburton rig really gets the heads turning. Especially with the plow mounted on it. It is used by our sleeper fish house division for banking house after they move them. It is our worst looking bomber but it runs like a top.

Here's the pics he sent to me.
