Heres a few pics of the hatch and the rear belly ,the expanded steel under the engine allows lots of heat to escape,I saw this on other machines.
-
Looks like your making good progress. I have a question. When you are traveling in loose snow or cutting a new path wouldn't the snow build up inside through the mesh ??
OT. ???
-
i have driven my friends for 3 seasons now and havent had a problem, his dosent have anything, the amount of heat in the engine bay keeps all the snow melted and water dry,if you cut a trail and shut your machine down right away or it wasent warm the ice could build, there are more than 10 machines that i know of that are built like this with no problems of build up.the hole allows the engine bay to breath better .

..great job..it's looking real good...running the 350 I never encountered a heat problem....I suppose having a solid belly pan might give you a little extra bobbing time if you were to end up in open water...as opposed to the mesh bottom...

Pretty clean looking unit you have there. I like the way you plumed the wiring. What brand gauges did you use in the dash ??
The Old Trucker
-
Very nice and clean unit, i like the idea of the air ride seat and the wood floor :o. i would have to say the wood floor will make the machine less noisey inside and less vibration. the only thing i dont see in these pictures are the gas tanks, where do you plan on putting the tanks???
-
Looks like your ready for a rip. Good job
-
fuel tank is behind gas pedal in the front custom made and you fuel through the fender,I used a boat filler cap that threads on.
-
The gauges are Faria gauges sourced from a marina.
-
My guages are Faria also. I'm thinkin they'll still work when it drops through the lake ice. :)
-
I looked up those gauges & I like the Kronos 6 gauge set. Looks like a good price. Were the sending units included with your gauges ?? Are they mechanical or electric ??
OT.
-
electric gauges sending units were seperate
