Drivetrain / sprockets and cleat spacing
« on: January 26, 2010, 10:21:02 am »
Does anyone know what the pitch and cleat spacing should be on bomber tracks?  we are having a bit of trouble with cleats catching on the sprocket and snapping.

Our drives were rerubberized before we got the machine and we don't know if there is too much rubber on them or not enough or what.

If anyone has a close up picture of their drives or dimensions of the drives, it would help alot.

Thanks alot guys I really appreciate the help and will pursue both options.

this snow machine should be fun but I can see that it will take alot of work to fix up and being that it is home made likely won't help since I have little idea where parts were scabbed from.

on the other hand I can modify it all I want without worrying about affecting its value by deviating from original.

Hi.  I am new to this forum.

I recently purchased an old home built snow track vehicle modelled after a bombardier.  We have a couple of broken track cleats and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to where to find some (new or used). ???
