So who did the alum work on this? Yourself?
-
No, I was told that it was some older fellow that lived in Winnipegosis Mb. He used to build aluminum wild rice boats.
-
Looks like you found some deep snow!

Went through an unknown creek bed after a thaw and then followed by a heavy snow fall.Got out by way of 8x8 John Deere. Thanks to Swamp Dawg for posting the pics.
-
Hey Chopperguy, does your 1948 aluminum narrow gauge have an all aluminum tub or belly pan also??? If not where does the aluminum end & metal start??? If the pan is aluminum, what is used for engine mounts & frame work??? I'm very curious.
-
Only the top part of the body is Aluiminum and the bottom portion is still the original steel undercarriage.
-
Just servicing it now and getting it ready, good to be back.Tried up loading some pics. but comes back as an uploading path error.Go figure.
-
Thanks to Mudflinger for posting my pics.
-
Sorry for not getting these up sooner, I've been busy and then I also might have forgot a couple times.
Anyways better late than never.

Do you still own this? I thought I seen it for sale or something?
-
Yes I do.I did have it for sale during a surgery I was going through and thought I would be down and out longer than I was but fortunately bounced back quite well so decided to keep the Bomb.
-
Right on that's good to hear your doing ok. Are you able to come to the bombardier rally this year? I'm sure the aluminum machine would be a big hit.
-
I am hoping to as I work up there, just a matter of hauling it there.
-
That would be great if you could make it. What kind of work are you doing up there.
-
I work for HBMS at Trout Lake but live in Central Sk.
