Title: Service Manuals
Post by: Averyman on July 31, 2006, 06:12:21 pm
I am the proud owner of a 1951 Bombardier Model B-12CS that I recently purchased. It is a low mileage machine in excellent original condition.  My question is, were there service manuals for these machines and if so where could I get a copy?   I have the original "Maintenance Manual and Spare Parts Lists" book that I would be willing to copy in exchange. Also, is there any business out there that still supplies  parts?
Thanks. Clarence

Congratulations. It is rare that you find one in excellent condition. There was no service manual for that model, other than the one you have. They did however have a "Chrysler Industrial Engine Manual" that they came with it to cover the engine repairs. It would likely be the same manual that came with early combines or other farm or industrial equipment of that era. Some parts are available from Shaver Industries in Stonewall. Other used parts and parts machines may be found in lakeside communities in the interlake or the north. If you can't locate what you need, post it here and we'll see what we can find.

I give away free manuals and would love to get a copy of the partial manual you have.  Currently I have manuals for the pontoon series (300 to 900) Tuckers, the Tucker 222 Kitten, Aktiv Snow Trac ST4, Trac Master ST4B and Snow Master ST4B vehicles, Kristi Snowcats (the KT-2 and KT3 models), Bombardier Bombi (BR100) and am in the process of digitizing manuals for LMC 1200, LMC 1500 and a VMC machine.  I'm also working on getting a Bombardier Snow Bus manual, but not sure which model it is yet.

This isn't exactly what you wanted, but I thought it may help a little.   This is from another site I frequent.  This site may help you find what your looking for. Good luck & welcome to our group...

Parts Manual 1975 Bombi

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just scanned the parts manual we got for our 1975 Bombi. It is in DJVU format to decrease the size. You can get the djvu viewer for windows at http://sourceforge.net/projects/djvu...Libre_Windows/
It is open source and free. I will be uploading the manual and sales brochure as soon as they are scanned. All files have been OCR'd so that the text is searchable

Since i cannot get an attachment to upload to the forum it is available at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42208572/1975Bombiparts.djvu

Thanks for the upload and info, will you let me know when you have the other manuals available. I am currently doing some of the most needed repairs like installing a reversed 12v rad. fan, the engine heat in the cab is unbearable this time of the year. Next up is to put connecters on the wireing to make the cab removeable so I can access the front diff.,not steering real well in one direction.
