Well the Bombardier Rally was again a success. I heard there was 27 machines there. Everything went along nicely with thanks to Ted and Mary Ann Playford for their efforts to make it all happen each and every year.
The fish fry was early in the day, Pickerel, Pike and Trout were on the menu cooked by Les and Karen Ostryck. And the afternoon was spent looking over each others machines lots of BS and cold drinks were consumed.
The weather was a little cool for standing around, I think -20 for the most part. But everybody was a good sport and stuck around for most of the day. And we also had a good shot of snow at night when we were making our 30 mile journey home that night.
I would have liked to take more pictures but my camera wasn't in favor of the weather so this is all I have. I did take video which will take me a while to edit into something half decent.
I've posted some names with the pictures, but a lot of the machines I can't remember their owners and I apologize.

Great pictures of the rally. I didn't notice Houlio & his father there. Matter of fact, I haven't seen him on NT. this winter.
I see Dan has his headlights changed. Seeing all the machines like this gives people ideas on what can be done to enhance the beauty of these machines.
I see Cam Maclean made it to the rally with his bomber. Man that machine is beautiful.
Congratulations to all that made that made it to the rally !!!!

Jesse, what happened to your wiper ?? And Chopperguy, do you find any difference with the louvers being vertical versus horizontal on the motor doors. Think it is helping to keep the engine run cooler ??
-
I've gotta give you credit OT you got a good set of eyes on you to notice those small little things. Like Dan's lights, Jesse's wiper. Attention to detail like that and you'll have one helluva machine someday.
-
Swamp Dawg, hopefully this spring we may make a start on that machine.
-
Hey are you gonna have a new video of this on youtube?
-
Ya I took some video, nothing to crazy but I should be able to edit it in the next couple weeks.

Here are some more pictures from Chopperguy.

In the fourth pic down, I noticed a fresh air vent cut in the left front section. That's the second one I've seen like that. I think the first one was Granpasboy's.
Looks like a project for you Swamp Dawg. You said it gets pretty hot in them at times.

Mr. Gordon Parsons !! Pleased to meet you & may I say you have a great looking machine. My friend Mike, is looking to put in a couple of sliding windows in the doors of his 57 bomber. Can you tell us where you bought those windows ??

I believe the side vents were intend for people that use engine ambient air (from air pushed through the rad and passed by engine) to heat their cab, when its warm out they have no choice but to get hot. They do look cool though.
We don't let any engine heat/air into the cab. Completely sealed off. All the heat comes only from the 2 heaters we have in the front, which we have total control of water flow and fans. We can make it as cold or as hot as we want it. This is superior in my opinion, because of the control over heat, and the less gas fumes that you have to smell that are associated with older motors.

Hey is the video on you tube yet?
