The play by play of your build has been an interesting read and I hope you see it through to its completion. What a day that first drive will be. I wish all the best to you OT.

OT - I have been checking in on your thread regularly to see the progress right from the beginning.   Looking good!  Cheers to the  commitment and effort in building your machine from scratch.  Not many would have taken on a project as big and as complicated as that. I bet there are many of us out here in cyberspace who are quietly following your journey. Thanks for all the pics.
               All the best,

Hello Houlio - no, no success :'(    I'm finding these machines to be rare and the ones I've seen are too much project for the cash.  Maybe I'm just not a natural born hard core Bomb guy..    There is a 50s wide body on Kijiji now. There is a link to it in the For Sale area.

I appreciate the reply Skenman. Just went back and looked at your pics - nice work - congrats!
My wife is not yet as agreeable as yours but with some carefully planted ideas and some time she will come around. Those machines are something special.

General Discussion / New guy asks about prices

Hello All
New member here from Saskatchewan.  I saw Chopperguys ad on Kijiji which lead to an internet search on snow coaches and finally here. Spent an enjoyable evening yesterday reading every word on the site - great stuff guys!
I don't own a machine but remember crawling around a maroon narrow-gauge in the Newman Bros. shop in Nipawin in the mid 70's. A unique Canadian classic for sure. We have a cabin in the north of the province that is 15 ice miles from the landing... I used to be a cabinet-maker and my brother-in-law is a retired old-school mechanic so I figure I'm a good candidate to become an addict ;) :D
Question - what is the range of reasonable prices for narrow gauge units, restorable and restored?

  Thanks
