Wanted / B12 differential
« on: February 11, 2011, 07:21:10 pm »

I am looking for a parts store that sells parts for the diff in a woody. I need what they call the nest kit. It's the spider gears, washers & pin that holds them together. I bought mine to the shop yesterday for a check up it is pretty sloppy.
It has the 4.11 gear ratio. Mike has one that I will look at. I have access to one that goes in the metal bomber like Mike's. I guess it's the heavy duty one, but I will still have it checked out. I am hesitant about putting in the 4.89 as I think it be harder on gas & make my engine run along at a higher RPM. Any suggestions for OT. ??????

Glen needs the same for his heavy duty diff also. his ratio is 4.89. Here is a pic of his below.

Metal Bombardiers / GLEN'S 59 REBUILD !!!
« on: January 06, 2011, 09:40:29 am »

I have to make an apology to Glen Peckford for screwing up his rebuild postings on here. I should have started it in Metal Bombardiers. But I thought I was doing this right by posting it under something different. I now see my mistake. I have been talking to Swamp Dawg & he says there is nothing he can do now to change it.
For those wanting to see & stay updated on his progress, here is how to get to it. Go to General Discussions... click on page 1...go to "Is it possible to build a bombardier from scratch"...click on page 2... & it starts @ reply # 24

Again...I apologize to the membership for this screw up.                     The Old Trucker

V6 or Straight 6 Engines / A LITTLE OFF TOPIC...
« on: January 04, 2011, 08:46:05 pm »
There is a fellow here in town that wants a flat head engine to put in his 1939 Dodge car. Is the engine in these bombers the same as what he is looking for ??

              happy new year..
today Pete used one of his bombardiers(wooden narrow) to move one of my ice shacks to a remote lake for ice fishing...it was a NARROW trail we cut ..tight fit..the little wooden was an ideal choice...it never skipped a beat...
