New model for truck drivers up North...

Here's the new way of hauling freight in the north. All they have to do is take the trailer wheels off & install skis...

General Discussion / Scenery in Manitoba & Saskatchewan
« on: July 08, 2011, 10:25:43 am »

I am impressed with the country side in the northern half of these provinces. It reminds me of the smaller places around here. After seeing all the smaller towns, looking down the the driveways as I pass by trying to see if there are any old bombers lurking in their back yards, I have probably passed by your place without knowing you lived there.
All I have to do is Google in your town & I can get down to road level in most places & travel up or down the roads same as in a car. Today I was in Bakers Narrows & had a look around. I thought I might see WANTABE & have a look at his new windows. Also looked around the Pas to see if I could find KPM. Some day I would like to drive around all the towns in your areas. I guess you might say "driving is in the blood".

Here is the email he sent to me.

Another project is underway. This one is a 1940 Bombardier B-7. It's in nice original condition with a re-paint about 20 years ago. It still has the original Ford flathead V-8 in it. Current plans are to pull out the engine and change all the gaskets, new wiring harness, check all the bearings and give it a try. Oldsledz

For Sale - Vehicles / THEY ARE BOMBARDIERS.....
« on: May 04, 2011, 06:34:34 pm »
Well they are all bombardiers & they are for sale. All five of them. As you can see they were stripped & rebuilt. They have rebuilt 251's in them, tracks rebuilt, all tires & rims in good shape, All GM alternators, a couple have new clutches, tub bottoms were reinforced, new wiring throughout, plus many other new parts were built & installed.
They are all turn key & drive away for $10,000 each. Buy all five & maybe get a discount. They're here on the island. Here are a few pics.

Body / Sliding window regulators
« on: March 18, 2011, 03:43:09 pm »

Here is an email I got from the fellow involved in doing Jeff's bomber.
Hello Claude,
Thanks For the compliment!
I’m not sure what type of paint he’s using . Jeff’s friend is doing the paint work as to the hinges I sourced them from Allegis corp.  www.allegiscorp.com
There’s two types available.
PN 2432-2  7/32 offset
PN 24321-4  5/16 offset
I used both types on Jeff’s  rig.
I look forward to seeing it completed as well.
I will send more update pictures when it comes back for glass and other work.
Thanks
Mike

Remember this picture ? It is in this catalog. Looks like everything is there, except the glass.
