This is one of the machines that we seen on the Youtube video from Quebec. The Old Trucker managed to contact the owner by doing some CSI Newfoundland; tracking down the owner by taking the name off of the sign on the bombardiers side.
A beautiful machine for sure. Nice work.
I will let the old trucker tell the story of the owner and the machine.

Good afternoon Claude,

Thank you for the comments!  Yeah, the machine is an original C-18, year 1949, but a lot of modifications has been done on it.  The engine is a 305 GM and it have power stering.  The reason why the paint is so shiny is that an thin aluminium sheet is covering all the body of the machine.  Then, it is paint with car paint and then cleared.  I'll try to send you some picture of the inside when we will have more time.
Bye!

David

Thank you Grfishmaker for putting those pics on here for me. I have mastered the art of copying & paste on this fancy outfit. I think??? That machine looks like a 2009 instead of 1949!!!
Lets share a few pictures with them & show that the machines & the want to keep them alive & growing is spreading across the country!!!

I had a phone call today with a gentleman from Quebec. We talked for half an hr. about bombers. He owns a 1947 b12cs & is looking for an owners/operators manual for it. He told me about the site below.
Anyone interested in looking @ some beautiful pictures of bombardiers from Quebec???
Google in ;   bienvenue sur quebec b12 . Make sure there is a space between each word like you see here.
It's the first one on the page. You can click on the spot that says; translate this page. There are pictures everywhere.
On the left of the screen you will see the menu. Scroll down to 'the links' & click on it. In the middle of the screen find "snow festival feast of St. Raymond & click it.
If you can help him, please let me know & I will get in contact with him.

Here's another well maintained machine from Quebec. This is the 1947 that "The Old Trucker" mentioned earlier. I believe it is from our latest member on NT, "Bombardier" and the first from Quebec. Hopefully he has started a new chapter and we will have some new members joining the forum this winter. Welcome aboard Bombardier.

Here is one more photo from AB Metals showing a second machine. Check out the wheels on the small one. I certainly admire your workmanship on your machines. Very, very nice. Well done.

Grfishmaker, do you think there's a 350 chevy in that small one?? Certainly shows signs of care & good workmanship in all of them.
I'm glad to see that we are starting to expand & meet new friends
that share the same interests & are helping to keep this wonderful bit of history alive.

Certainly a creative person has made this machine. It has an entirely different type of track, cleats, wheels and a modified ski suspension set up. One can only imagine what he has in the engine compartment and also interior design. A very interesting machine and obviously a very talented person has spent alot of time and planning on this unit. Both machines are a prime example of what can be done with dressing up these old machines. Joseph A. Bombardier would be very proud to see some of his machines that are still bringing so much enjoyment and to see the passion involved.

Anyone notice the tail lights on Bombardiers machine in reply # 4
in Trail Talk under Bombardiers from Quebec ? The little chrome section on top & the green lens. Are they original to that machine ? They are very nice. I like the shape.

Not sure where this one is from, but I'm going to take a guess on Quebec.

I am assuming that this machine is either for a warm winters day or for some tougher driver than most. Nice job, and a novel idea.

I hope in the next couple of days we may have a few new pics of bomber material to post here. Oldsledz & bombardier were at the festival in Valcourt, then onto St. Raymond.
