« on: December 27, 2009, 09:44:06 pm »
I need to replace the axel seals on my bomber. I believe it is an original chrysler rearend but the outter seals were falling apart and and don't even appear to have been the right ones in the first place.anyone who would share any information, part numbers,or possible part sources would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Jerry

My name is Jerry I signed onto this site last summer and am definately a newcomer to the bomber community.
I live in Crookston,Minn. where my son and I have an auto repair shop that has become the summer home to the bomber we bought last spring. There is no body tag on our bomber but the engine tag says it was manufactured 3/22/1951, so I expect that it's a 1951 model,it is a narrow gauge woodie with the original 251 6cylinder and the3 speed tranny. restoration. was pretty well done when we got it and we're just doing regular maintainence and fixing and personalizing a few things. Had planned to have it done by now but didn't need it so now it's going to be a priority for a couple weeks to get it ready to spend the winter at Warroad hauling my family and friends around lake of the woods fishing. I have already found a lot of information on this site and hope to find a lot more. Our bomber is ski doo yellow with black trim we're in the process of putting in a new interior and carpet. When I figure out how to do it I will post some photos.
