1968 wide gauge
« on: December 03, 2019, 10:20:14 am »
Hi,
I'm new to this site and have been interested in purchasing a bug for years. I've had some experience with them many years back when they were used for many purposes other than recreational. I've recently been put aware of a 1968 wide gauge that I've seen through photos but am not sure of the condition of tracks, tire, cleats, engine and drive train. I believe it has been sitting in an open yard for many years without use and was wondering what would be a good offer on this assuming much of the rubber must need changing? Could anyone give me an amount someone should offer for this machine? Also what would the life of tracks and tires be if sitting for maybe 30 years? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks  :)

Opening move, go with a fresh battery to see if it starts. Check the fluid levels in the radiator and oil pan first. Good Luck
