...when installing an EFI,you need the computor the motor came with and the wiring harness, plus a high volume fuel pump that goes inside your gas tank...

I could have gotten an EFI engine for free last fall. I think it was all there, but I was after getting the 300 I have now. Some people say they work better.

I should have said that the free EFI engine was a Ford 300. The 300 I have in my machine is carburated.

hmmm,as far as working better Claude....I kinda sorta doubt it....as the efi gives you calibrated performance...the carb model 300's are great though and far less hassle to install.
The 300 six because of i's long stroke,,,produces as much torque..sometimes more than alot of the small v8's...

Ya know Gror it was only yesterday while I was looking around the net when I thought about Swamp Dwag. I think he was asking something about different manifolds for more power. Well I looked it up & found out that you could put a 2 barrel carb on the original manifold with a bit of machining. It also talked about changing a carbed 300 to a EFI 300. I'll have another look to see if I can find it again & post it here. It's good to hear from you again.

I googled this  ( convert 300 carbed ford to 300 EFI ) & came up with this...

   forums.off-road.com Ford Ford 67-96 F-Series, 78-96 Bronco

Let me know if it don't work.    OT.
