I must say she looks pretty fine looking to me. I couldn't decide where to post this machine, so after talking to Oldsledz I thought to put it here. Here is part of his email I got this morning.
Well, not sure where to place it. It is wooden framed and plywood interior with an aluminum skin over it. I don’t think it demands another classification on N.T. but it does have as much wood as a B-12. I don’t yet know how far I will go with it. It is in pretty nice shape. I’ll take the motor out and change all the gaskets, rebuild the carb, new water pumps (2) new fuel pump, tune up , new wiring harness etc and just make sure all is reliable. The odometer says 14,000 +- miles on it. I have the original registration and it was bought by a Taxi company in Rigaud, Quebec in 1940. I have allot to learn about the machine and I have never owned a flat head V-8 so---again, allot to learn before I tear into it.
I currently have 3 snowmobiles apart for restorartion—1961 ski-doo, 1963 ski-doo, and a 1962 Polaris so this may set for some time. I just may wait until winter to run it in the snow to see exactly what it may need. I do have a few other pics that I will send over.
Frank
I will post the other pics when I get them. She looks great ...
